Just FYI.
There are a couple fresh listings on Barnstomers with good times and low prices located in the east.

Search 150L and 150M recent posts this week.

I've actually thought about that one quite a bit, seems perfect for Colorado flying and instrument training. But, it seems like I could get a really nice 172, or an older Mooney, for that money.

All depends on your mission and what you see yourself needing for an airplane. This is a low time, 160 HP, IFR, Long Range, STOL, Cessna 150. If you need a plane for one, and occasionally two people, to travel within a state or within a few bordering states for business or pleasure and don't see yourself needing to move into something bigger later on. Then this could be a good airplane investment.

If you are one of those who keep thinking of doing a 150 hp upgrade to your 150, to turn it into a good cross country, High Country, IFR machine...well someone already did the work for you, and you would end up investing about the same amount of money to build what is there anyway.

The four seaters in this price range will be older, higher time, and in need of further investment. But you will have a bigger airplane, and more seats...If that's what you want/need.

As for me, I'd put the money into something else...If I had the money that is. That is about the same price as a nice PT-26 I was looking at. More passion than practical...but that's me.

Are these the only models that interest you Bryan? If so, you are probably missing some very good aircraft out there for possibly the wrong reasons?
