I should start out by coming clean, I don't have a Cessna other than the 150L I bought from the insurance company for the O-200. I fly an Aeronca Champ with a C90, and have an exp. Champ project that needs an engine. I did learn to fly in a 150, and think the 150 is very underrated as a fun affordable flyer, if that helps. I'll add that the 150 I'm parting out is not one that could be put back in the air, the fuselage is way too banana shaped.
So I'm pretty up on Aeronca parts, but I don't know much about what bits and pieces are commonly needed for a 150. I've been reading this forum and have learned a lot, so I thought I'd join and see if I could sell the stuff I don't need. The wings, flaps, and ailerons are junk, but there are 13? gal fuel tanks and a flap motor. The tail and wing struts are fine. Fuselage is broken in 3 places, but the cowl is okay. Engine mount is broken, but the nose gear looks undamaged. Main gear looks good, but I'm keeping the wheels and axles. Brakes are for sale. Doors and seats are okay, and there are belts and seat, but no back, for the back seat. Last October a new Michel MX300, and a PMA 400 audio panel were installed. Also new seat belts, speaker, and the plastic cover over the trim wheel.
So you get the idea. I should also say that I wont be real fast if what you want requires a lot of work to remove. This is my hobby, and it may take me a weekend or two to find time. The upside of that is that my prices will be based on somewhere around half of whatever Wentworth is asking. I'll take lots of pictures and send them first, but if you don't like it when you get the part, you will only be out the freight to send it back, I'll refund the price of the part.
So there is my crass marketing pitch. I fly out of Creswell, Oregon, and if you want to drop by and see the parts first, that's even better.
Welcome from another new guy. My "main" airplane is my fairly new to me C150J, but I also have a 1947 Aeronca 11BC Chief with a O200 (C85-12F with O200 STC). That one really gets off quick!
Those are both nice looking planes, but I've got to say I like the Chief best! Everyone that I've talked to likes the O-200 conversion, it makes very good power. I'm intending on putting higher compression pistons in mine for a little extra power on top of that. I'm claiming my exp Champ to be the very first metal spar conversion, the guy who did the work went on to develop the STC that Milman has now. Otherwise it's a stock Champ.
The audio panel is a PS Engineering PMA-4000, part number 11942, so yes, I guess I did mean that. It was installed new on 10-11-2012. I'm seeing a price of $795 at Aircraft Spruce, how does $400 plus shipping sound?
The radio is a Michel MX-300T SN: 10886, and was installed new the same time as the audio panel, 10-11-2012. I looked on Aircraft Spruce and today's price is $1862.00. How does $1000 even sound, plus shipping?
As a nube, I hadn't figured out that there was a private message function, but I'm dialed in now. I'm going to ask everyone to contact me that way so that I can keep track of who wants what, and was first to ask. I will be away tomorrow, but back Wed. I'll get out to the barn and get answers for your questions then.
The log book says new seat belts with shoulder harness last October, but it doesn't say what color. I remember black, but I'll get the data off the tags too when I check.
I do have a horizon and lights, but the red lense is gone. Have the strobe too.
Wing ribs? I don't understand unless you are asking about taking a wing apart to get the ribs inside. The wings are wrinkled bad, but parts like the flap tracks are fine, so maybe, if I knew more specifically what you were looking for. Sorry for being uninformed about what I'm trying to sell.
I know exactly what a Champ rib looks like, aileron, full, end(L,R), or tip.
