Beech only made 312 Model 77 "Skippers"
There are currently only 181 on the FAA registry
(Compared to 31,500 or so Cessna 150/152's built....)
Piper built 2,484 Tomahawks, 8 times the production of the Skipper...
There are 833 Piper PA-38 Tomahawks still registered, which means that 2/3's of them are gone which is a lot as the plane was in production as late as 1982....
Every Skipper I've seen looked very well cared for
Most Piper Tomahawks I've seen look like "Traumahawks"...basically used-up junkers.
