I've got a 1970 K, and want to put windows in the lower half of the doors.
It looks like I can de-rivet where the stiffener attaches to the skin, cut the hole in skin, put the Plexiglas between the stiffener and the "window frame" portion of the skin, then just re-rivet.
Having been in a Patroller, I can tell you that just the square foot or so of window really makes a difference in visibility to the sides and down. | | | Re: Lower Door Windows? | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 25,201 Likes: 920 Member/25,000 posts | Member/25,000 posts Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 25,201 Likes: 920 | Look...it's a NEW GUY! Mike Sibley is the guy to talk to on square doors, which is a different question that I was asking in this thread. He's got a kit and drawings to do them.

I use the good 10 year lexan. The kit comes with drill bit, rivets, frames, lenses and a nice finish piece to cover the inside door latch mechanism and a nice set of instructions. All you need to get is the sealant. PM me a line if you want one.

Mike, I tried email but no answer. I'll PM. I'm looking forward to seeing pics, too.
What hoops did you have to jump through to get it approved by Uncle Freddy?
