Hello everyone in the 150/2 community! I have been lurking on this board for years eating up the knowledge but felt it was time I joined up. smile

Anyway, I have a MINT condition 2002 Corvette with 84k on it that books out at $19,500. I am looking to trade it for a mid-SMOH Cessna 150. Something with under 800 SMOH, but I certainly wouldn't expect anything with less than a few hundred SMOH as it would be worth more than my vett.

This vet is my baby! I adore this car, but I am wanting a new baby, one that literally flys low. smile I have totally babied her and there is absolutely not a bump on it. I will be happy to provide some pics to anyone who is interested. This car has never had so much as a door ding and never been in an accident. Its pewter colored (metallic grey) and has after-market pipes, rims and brake pads. (The rims are black aluminum and the pads are red). This car is a 10 out of 10 interior, exterior and mechanically.

Also, if a sweet ride isn't your thing and you are wanting to travel, I have a 34' triple-slide bay window 5th wheel for trade as well. Its average book price is $25,000. So, if you have a low hour 150 and have been thinking about a 5th wheel let me know. Its a 2001 Sunnybrook.

Thanks for any consideration. I know that trades are not optimal, but I thought it would be worth asking about!

Please message me if you are interested or know of someone who might be.

Thanks all!

Troy

Welcome to the forum, Troy. Hope you'll find someone to make a trade. I'm a small guy so a Corvette is too big for me. I'm happy with my 2007 Miata.

Thanks Hung! What a co-incidence. I used to have a Miata, but I am 6'1" and I had to contort myself to drive it. smile So, I sold it and bought the Corvette which had much more leg room. Surprisingly, the first time I flew a 150, I fell in love. It was so easy to fly. Everyone told me how cramped I would feel in it with another 6' person, but it didn't feel cramped at all to me. And it handled like a dream. Got to love those no-flap landings! smile

Its 350HP stock, but with the after market pipes it bumps it up 30 HP to about to the 380HP range. She has a awesome deep throaty rumble. Rumor has it that you can get upto 70 HP out of these with other after-market mods, but the after-market exhaust gave her plenty of power so I haven't bothered with anything more. laugh

That is what.... only 350% more HP than a stock C150. smile

Yeah, but can it fly 500' above ground and be useable again after landing ? grin

Touche'. I used to say: "I don't drive fast, I fly low", but now I am trying to get there literally. smile
