I suspect that first logbook has the engine installation info. If the STC paperwork is also missing, this could be an expensive airplane to make legal. Seems safe enough having been around all those years, but getting a legal sign-off could be an adventure.

Hopefully the FAA 337 was filed with the FAA, and a copy can be obtained from Oklahoma City. | | | | Joined: Aug 2010 Posts: 5,198 Likes: 259 Member/5000+posts! | Member/5000+posts! I flagged on the same thing Kirk. Anyone know when the 150 HP STCs came out? Seems pretty Odd that someone would buy a brand new plane then swap the engine right out. Looks nice though, except for the cowling striping No interior shots? Wonder why? | | | | Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,619 Member/1500+posts | Member/1500+posts Joined: Jun 2011 Posts: 1,619 | Is this the same plane as in >>THIS<< thread? Sorry,.... Already answered in the other thread. Not the same plane at all.

I've seen many used cars needing "just" a few little things. I may be wrong here, but usually what's obviously wrong is only the tip of the iceberg. Like anything else, bought cheaply enough this could be a nice fixer-upper.
