I have a near pristine cowling for a 150 and a set of wheels, discs and tires. I am listing them here before I take them elsewhere at a slightly higher price in the hope that some Club member will take them flying.

The wheels: Cleveland, Model 40-113C, 1.5" axel, New discs, New Air Hawk 600x6, 6 ply tires, new tubes $700 + freight

The Cowl is in near perfect original condition with the Exception of an Upper Cowl Nose Cap (Part # 0452002-6) which has been replaced with a new fiberglass part. $1,000 + freight.

These came from an abandoned project in New England that I acquired for parts. Questions, etc. either PM or LS7002@aol.com

Sorry, I'm not in the market for any of those items, Jeff, but they look awfully nice.

I would like to know a bit more about the fiberglass nose replacement on the upper cowl?

Do you think it's a factory part?

Where might someone acquire a similar item?

Do you have any idea on the pricing of a similar fiberglass replacement piece?

Thanks in advance...

I'm interested in the cowling. I have 1968 G model. According to the parts manual, the cowling changed at serial 15064532. My serial number is 1505162, so I need the newer cowling.

I'm going to study the parts list with my mechanic to try to understand what changed.

Sorry Jeff

My mechanic says that your cowling won't fit on a 150 G. He says that your cowling attaches to the fuselage with screws, whereas mine uses 1/4 turn fasteners. It would be a big job to mount your cowling on a 1967 or newer aircraft.

I guess the easiest way to tell which cowl assembly you have is to look at the oil access door. It is attached to the lower cowl in the older design and to the upper cowl in the later models.

Too bad, your cowling looks like it's in great condition.

Jeff, any idea where that fiberglass nose cap came from? That's the second one I've heard about, but have never determined the source!
