A few months ago, I went to a local private grass strip to take some photos of a plane for a club member. The seller mentioned that a guy from Canada was supposed to come by that afternoon to look at the plane. The guy did show up, bought it, and flew it home that evening.

If you are looking for a bunch of folks to help you overcome an airplane addiction, this ain't the place to find them.

Hmmm, I'd think $500 would be more inline to secure it for a week or so.

Good luck with it. Let's hope it's 'the one'....

Call him up and tell him to consider the plane sold under the condition that, upon inspection, it is "as described".

If he tells you the condition is X, Y & Z and the inspection confirms X, Y & Z you pay him.

On the other hand, if you find A, B & C....the deals off.

Good luck but keep in mind, it's not the only one out there on the market.

Thanks Wayne....I was just reading this thread and going to say the same thing.

If it didn't happen, it wasn't meant to be....the "better" deal is waiting for you.

Never let a "buy" become emotional despite all these airplane nuts around here. Listen to Wayne....he'll tell you the truth.

Besides, if it were me, I would not like the idea of a non-refundable deposit. That almost sounds like a scam. If that is the king of person you were dealing with, you are probably better off!
