Awful. ![[Linked Image from animatedimages.org]](https://www.animatedimages.org/data/media/218/animated-penguin-image-0137.gif) [ animatedimages.org] Imagine a united world. Wow! 19.5K
Based on that number, GPB could probably get 35K from this chap for his well maintained 150/150.
Kevin, It will be interesting to hear what you guys thought of this plane after having seen it up close. | | | | Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 2,706 Likes: 155 Member/2500+posts | Member/2500+posts Joined: Feb 2009 Posts: 2,706 Likes: 155 | That's why you always go to an auction with a "don't care if I do, don't care if I don't" kind of attitude. If you show up really wanting to win the bid, you will pay too much... or way too much if there's somebody else there with the same desire.

If an A&P bought the bird, a thorough inspection of EVERYTHING might reveal very little wrong with only an investment of time. All we've seen wrong so far is cosmetic. Price is relative. Still sight unseen, what would this low-time bird be worth if it were in annual and had been flown yesterday? Does the price difference really reflect the value of a thorough annual inspection and sign-off?
I do understand the risk. I doubt anything will be found much wrong with the airframe, but the engine could be a total loss (very unlikely) or at least wind up being overhauled due to a rusted cam, and then the owner would have far more invested than could be recouped.

Gas tanks were rusty gas caps were just the lid themselves laying there the chain and retainers were possibly laying in the bottom of the tanks ! An A&P friend of jims was there and noone thought it would sell past 5 grand ! Wow were we shocked | | |
