Hi All,
I am looking to move to an airpark. And except for property advertised on Barnstormers (wich is a good resource) I am finding there are a lot of little airparks around, but often what is for sale is only locally advertised.
Fortunately my job allows me some flexibility and most of the southern states could work.I do need to be within a reasonable drive of a major airport. Anyone know of a better resource?
Thanks,Jeff

Jeff,

I've got an airpark lot for sale in Alaska ... it probably doesn't fit your mission, but I thought I'd mention it just in case.

Thanks Terry,
I actually have a place in Central,Alaska, right next to the airport. I spend summers there.
I am looking for a southern location. It is nice to get out of the cold and enjoy the flying.
Happy Flying

Breakaway Park here in Austin (actually Cedar Park, just north of the city) seems like a nice location. They have a nice paved runway and the community is convenient to most modern amenities. Austin Bergstrom International Airport (KAUS) is within a 30 minute drive.

If you google Breakaway Park, there are some real estate listings available. On one side of the runway there are million dollar homes, on the other side they're closer to $400K.

Another nice place nearby is Lakeway Airpark, in Lakeway. They restrict night operations, but otherwise it is a nice community. I don't know what might be available right on the runway.

Jeff,

Here is one I've been keeping an eye on (AKA day-dreaming about) for my wife and I.

Horses for her airplanes for me....Heaven!

There are a number of airparks here in the D-FW area. My home base KWEA is half airpark; many lots left to build on.

Jeff,
Just met a 421 driver that relocated to Mass. from Dallas. He is a commercial pilot and relocated for his wife's job.

He has an airpark home with a 3,000 sq. ft. hangar available in the Dallas area. I don't know any details about price, the size of the house, etc. but I could ask him if you are at all interested.
