Maybe Ed would like to share his own story here about this particular tail number? | | | | Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,492 Likes: 4 Member/1000+posts | Member/1000+posts Joined: Jan 2005 Posts: 1,492 Likes: 4 | It IS an interesting idea . . . no promises, but you could send me as much as you want on 72G, Bill. Seen the pics on Barnstormers. Gary is only about 30 min. from me. For that matter, if anyone else would like to send a "prospectus" of as much as you want to send, bring it on (on broadband). Fair to say tho I will give greater weight to what I can lay hands on before deciding. wingnuttt@charter.net

That way, I won't have to figure out how to hitch-hike back home. Fly one up, fly one back. BTW, I used airnav to plan the stops with a max leg of 200 miles, seeing as you have standard tanks and a big motor. Besides, after a couple of hours, I'll be ready for a little rest. I took the airnav recommendation and looked at a map to see what points of interest are out there. I haven't bought the round of sectionals, yet, but I'll get them this week and begin to lay out the route in better detail. Robbie is pumping my mind full of information on the camera for the tail, as well as the best type of recording device. I have high hopes for this production. I was hoping that Ed might be able to fly up here and pick me up, then fly me down to pick up the plane. Otherwise, Ed would have to fly up here in 999ED, then I'd fly him back home. I don't mind either way. I think ED can find Arlington He found San Angelo in the middle of the night with 5 miles viz, with only a VOR and a clock. Impressed me. For my trip, I'll have two handheld GPS's and a handheld nav/com along. And yes, it's Death Valley.

Since you are travelling through sourthern Nevada, there are some, let's say "unique", (legally in this country, any how! ), attractions you may want to take in. Angel's ladies out of Beatty has their own runway. As does the Cottontail just south of Goldfield. And, if I am not mistaken, the Cherry Patch near Crystal also have a runway. I'll leave it to the imaginations here of what I am referring to! | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 12,760 Member/10,000+ posts! | Member/10,000+ posts! I wouldn't give Gary too many ideas, he may not make it to Oregon. Bengie Phillips

Hmmm, what are you trying to say. I don't want to spend time with a bunch of holier than thou women, ain't interested in going to a zoo, and I picked blackberries for pay as a kid, don't want to go there again. Reminds me of the joke about the women that said her son was a vet. He owned three cat houses in Las Vegas. I have a full itinerary lined up as it is. You're right...I might not ever make it to Oregon. Just send me a credit card for the gas and I'll tour the desert southwest until spring. I'm moving my flight planning information over to the Big Adventures section. I'll post a map of the route subject to last minute weather and whims of my heart. Now, where did I leave my box of Trojans?
