It can't be, Jeff! Four years OLDER? You ARE kidding, right? She really is four years older than you? I don't believe it! I need to admit that I was one of those that was thinking that you were awfully lucky to have a wife so young!! Knowing the truth doesn't really change things much, however! Kathie still looks like an innocent sweet young thing to Justina and I! You lucky dog you! Like I said Bill, she is the lucky one being married to a guy that keeps her so young (and is obviously so humble right ). No....I know I am blessed, no doubt about it. And to think it is her birthday tomorrow too...better do something about that. | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 13,969 Member/10,000+ posts! | Member/10,000+ posts! But, I have to admit, there is a concern with Gary doing this? If my memory serves me correctly, weren't you, Gary, looking for a 150/150 for yourself? Would ours make it past Arlington? Hee! Hee! Well, didn't promise I'd arrive in Grants Pass. Just that I'd head that way with your new plane. Notice, Arlington is right on the way. Actually, I'm looking quite forward to the trip. When I get a firm date, I'll iron out the route and fuel planning. I get to land at more airports because the thirsty sweetheart only has standard tanks...(am I letting the cat out of the bag?) And,,,BTW, Happy Birthday, ED PATAKY Later,

But, by the time I get there, I may be what Wayne calls "Rump Sprung" and may not want to get back in...

Oh, little hint from my first trip to Clinton. If you pull the big black knob back to about 2100 rpm or less, she will sip gas just like an O-200...in case you find yourself having more of a headwind than you anticipated. Safe trip and congrats Bill. | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 7,197 Likes: 2 Member/5000+posts! | Member/5000+posts! It will be a great addition to the group of airplanes we fly with regularly here in Southern Oregon. That flight from Huston should be a piece of cake. Having met Gary at Clinton, I'd say the little bird will be in highly capable hands.
As to whether or not he'll actually bring it here and turn it over to Bill? Questionable...VERY questionable

Hope you find a nice home for her to go to Bill. Enjoy your 150/150!!! | | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 25,416 Likes: 997 Member/25,000 posts | Member/25,000 posts Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 25,416 Likes: 997 | Having met Gary at Clinton, I'd say the little bird will be in highly capable hands. Ya know, Gary can do "extreme" maneuvers in a stock 150. Imagine what he can do with a 150/150. | | | | Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 18,962 Likes: 3 Member/15,000 posts | Member/15,000 posts Joined: Jan 2004 Posts: 18,962 Likes: 3 | Hey, Gary! You know, I haven't flown in awhile! How about bringing that pretty thing to Florida and letting me put a couple of hundred hours on it, just to make sure everything is right, before Bill gets her! It's really not that far out of the way (when you consider we have members in Australia, New Zealand, Great Britain, and Africa, just to name a few). You could write an article afterwards. "My Ferry Flight From Florida to Oregon!", or "How I Hi-jacked Bill's Plane to Cuba", or maybe "Plane? What Plane, Bill?". Think about it? | | |
