Chuck has a good point. I lost one screw but never found a nick. Maybe I was lucky.

I bet that would make a difference. I've got a roll of stuff that would be perfect. But should do a burn test before considering it for aircraft use. I'll burn a swatch and see what it does.

My stuff failed the burn test and tears too easily anyway.

Thanks Bengie! You found what I needed, but I ended up using a quick/temporary fix. My old one was a bit more chunked out on the edges than this Ebay one so I taped 3 layers of duct tape on it and called it a day. (The long screws are markers...I replaced with big washers & cowling screws.) I haven't flown with it yet, but it seems to fit tight.

I really appreciate your heads up though!

The picture is probably too big. Try resizing it down to below 1MB.

Looks good! Now tell us if it gets any warmer INSIDE the cabin. Did you ever check that rotary heater valve? Sometimes they get a little bent or don't turn all the way. Mine did that. You might be able to look with a flashlight from below without removing the cowling, but you may want to use a creeper to do it. Call if you have questions.

The new winter front aka cowl cover is finally on. It was spendier than I thought, but fits good:

$227.92 cover
$ 40.96 S/H
$ 12.54 tax
------------
$281.42 total

No more duct tape!

Is your 150 a Twin? or did you by two because it's real cold in MN?
