Thanks John,
That is the one. When I spoke with the owner, he was anxious to sell. Wants to get something else. Doesn't fly this one enough. So if someone makes him a "reasonable" offer (he has a lot in it). He'll sell.

Gosh, what a beautiful plane! There's a chap at Kjeller Airfield who flies a Bird Dog...he may know someone who might be interested in it. I shall ask him.

Nice looking plane at a fair price, looks like.

I had a little back seat time in them. Jungle camo (L-19's) or Air Force colors (0-1's). Fun planes to fly or fly in.

Very unusual one here that got "lost" in a wharehouse somewhere until the mid-90's. ZERO time engine and airframe. A guy at IZA bought it as Army surplus and assembled it. Added a "modern" IFR panel. Beautiful plane. Probably in the $160,000 range if it were for sale, though...

Boy, they look just like a Guillow's balsa-wood kit!

It's that extra dihedral and the omni-vision with the round tail. Looks like a toy. Love it.

Now picture yourself flying that "Toy" into combat! Flack, SAMs, Supersonic Fighter-bombers, Migs...and there you are, chugging around all bad-ass at 100 mph with just your smoke rockets, curse words and insults to throw at 'em...That takes a pair my friend, that takes a pair.

It didn't take them long to figure out that white phosporus warheads on the 2.75" FFAR's (folding fin aerial rockets) work better than smoke.
