Thank you Kyle smile My Super Cub friends call her Lady Foxtrot, but my FAA buddy calls her Foxie...FAA trumps Cub...ha!

I really appreciate everyone's welcome and help on here. I've had my 150 for a year and am learning a lot, but am finding that every question I've ever had has been asked and answered here. Very cool. At least I know better now. Last month, I pulled the cowling and my mechanic stared at the mags and said 'Huh, haven't seen that before'... Foxie had a Slick AND a Bendix mag and after receiving many conflicting opinions on whether or not this was 'legal', I just decided to have another Bendix and new harnesses put on. Probably a question I should have posed to the Members here first. smile

On a Lycoming, the mixed mags would cause a problem, as the engine model designation changes with the different brand mags. On a Continental engine, it really doesn't matter, though rather odd.
