Now THAT would help with the shoulder room!

I flew in a Luscomebe Silvaire 8A that had both doors made from plexiglas. The frames were original, the latch was crummy, and they did not ventilate. I am sure they were completely illegal, but the vis was excellent.
I always wanted to skin a cessna 150 door with plexiglas and get an STC. Actually, I want somebody else to do it.

Looking for the "bottom line" on domed windows.

Who has the windows with most "doming?" (for most shoulder room)

Can I for sure get domed windows that open?

Cee Bailey says "stc pending??"
Great Lakes does not list the 150 in stc list??

Let me give this a stab. Only amount of dome seams to be the ones made by Baily. In fact only two manufacturers of this window. They will open just fine and don't touch the wing if the retainer on the end of the window is left in place. I called and talked to Cee Bailey about the STC pending on their web site. (Quote) It should not be on there and is their mistake. The windows are PMA'd from Cessna original parts. No STC needed. Just install and a log book entry. (End of Quote) Now I haven't run this by anyone else at this point but assume they will come with the paper work to verify what was told to me. Will know for sure when they arrive. I'll either be happy as a pig in mud or madder than a wet hen.

Well no windows and no charge to the card so I called Cee Bailey and low and behold they don't make the dome window. LP Aero Plastics is the only source for this window and they are sold through Cee Bailey. Ok learned something here. Now in order for you to get the dome windows you have to Authorize LP Aero to build them for you with PMA Authority. Does that mean a 377 approval? So faxed in the paper work to LP and hope the approval process goes smoothly. Anyone have a copy of the 337 or did you slide it through under logbook entry as a PMA part? Plane or Plain education is fun if you don't weaken. confused
