So,, I see a seller on ebay is selling a set of used control collars, starting price is $35. I hope that the first bidder isn't someone from the club here,, because a complete set,, can be purchased new for a high price of $25. I don't know why so many don't search before bidding,, but there you go,,

It'll be interesting how many will bid for this item,, The seller already knows what the new prices are,, trust me,, I know that. Anyways, some might be interested in the seller as well,, it seems he made the headlines here a few weeks ago,,

Search before bidding,,, [cgi.ebay.com]

I just bought a control column from this guy. I thought $50 plus $16 shipping was a decent deal, considering the price of new universal joints (anything has got to be better than my 15,000 hour u-joints).

Not to defend the guy, don't know anything but the experience with Wayne...but where can you get these for $25?
The current part number I find is 0413454-1 List $183 available new for $131.

He claims he's been a C150/C152 club member for 10 years.

Look at the number of positive comments on the eBay site. Looks like a lot of people are happy with him.

Hagg,
I'll check when I get home but I looked up these parts for my 152 and
I think the cost was $16 for one side and $24 for the other at Cessna parts.com

I'll double check.

Stephen,, The set that he has listed look just like mine,, which I purchased last year. Here is the current price for mine,, The 20 dollar one is for the left side,, the 5 dollar one is for the right side.
0760131-5 SUPPORT
(List Price: $ 5.31) Stock Available $ 4.51 (EA)
Order 0760131-6 COLLAR SUPPORT & LOCK
(List Price: $ 24.20) Stock Available $ 19.36 (EA)

Cessna parts.com [cessnaparts.com]

I guess we could debate his part number being the more expensive plastic ones,, like mine has,, For the heck of it, I should buy a set of these,, list them on Ebay for $50,, see if there would be any takers,, Hmmm, come to think of it, If anyone wants a set of the above,, I'll sell a set,, I'll go through all the hassle of ordering and paying the shipping to you,, $50 US, will get you a set of new collars,, any interest?

I can't confirm your part number, but I did purchase a set of yoke collars for my '76 M model for around $35 from www.iwantcessnaparts.com [iwantcessnaparts.com] just last week.

I'm probably referencing the wrong one but all I can find is in figures 23, 23A, 23B, 23C, 23D, all point to 0413454-1. Can you point out the figure you're finding this in?
