Looking for some new cowl plugs as I take off my cowl cover for the spring and summer...so far, Sporty's has them for like $75-100; you gotta' be kiddin' me! Wag Aero did not have much either..
Anyone know of a place I can get the red, ready-made ones (not the ones you cut out)for around $50 or less? I cannot believe these things are so expensive for a piece of foam!
Thanks - I'll even take a used set! I must be looking in the wrong places if the best I can do is $75! Dumb question: what is the difference between the 2 and 3 piece sets? Not sure what the 3rd piece would be? Are they talking about the "remove before flight" banner?
Thanks for the recommendation, guys!

PS: John and Dan, the duct tape and foam idea would make my plane look even more "ghetto" than it does now! Though it does sound tempting....all that savings going to more MOGAS and pizza can go a long way out here! | | | | Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 446 Member/250+posts | Member/250+posts Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 446 | Mike there are some aircraft out there that have more than the typical two openings and would require three plugs

Jeff had mine embroidered on both sides (Lulu)(Belle) which cost him quite a bit extra. Looks like they are not the economical route, but I will say that I love them.

Plane Cover is where I got my plane cover and cowl plugs. Both are well made and will last a while. In case you want AJ to look uniform when parked next to Duchess, mine are red! | | |
