Does anyone know where you can get an overhead speaker..I need one for a 72 150L..Thanks for any information and PS..if someone has a pic of an original speaker that would also be a great assistance.......Bill

Buy one that works, do not get a "Radio Shack" speaker. It's not worth tearing the ceiling apart and putting in a cheaper speaker when an aircraft one is under $20 bucks. Also,the impedance may not be correct for aircraft use.

I went with a Quam in my Cardinal and it was a fine speaker. Not car stereo quality (unless it came out of a 53 Desoto) but it works, is more durable than stock and with the adapter plate, was a perfect fit.

I totally agree with Brian's post. It's a big deal to remove that cover plate, and Radio Shack's stuff isn't that good. Impedence requirement should be stated in your radio's data sheets.

Yeah, and they have HUGE magnets, so guess where your compass will point??? crazy

well it looks like the stock speaker is 3.2 ohms. if i remember correctly radio shack sells 4 or 8 ohm speakers.
