On the '69 Cessna I would be interested in the empty weight, and the remaining useful load with full fuel. I have been drawn to the idea of long range tanks after having an episode with an airport being closed for refueling long before the published hours of operation.

That explains why you fit right in with the other two Ed's.

HEY! Stop that!

By the way... what Bill Warner said? Ditto. I've got a 150 hp Texas Taildragger and am so glad I got what I got. I put new paint and radios in it when I bought it. Also overhauled the engine and put a new prop on it after I taxied into a ditch (purely an accident).

As for having 150hp? Having flown stock 150s I wouldn't want to go back. You'll appreciate the additional power in the climb and when density altitudes become an issue.

That's the ONLY reason I want a 150/150 for Mary Lou. The climb and gettin' me outta short strips, hot and heavy. Density alitude will kill ya (literally and figurativly).

Everyone knows you won't go THAT much faster. Yeah, you're a bit faster, but still, you don't do it for speed. If you wanna go fast, get a Bonanza or something else than a 150. We don't get 150's to et there fast. Just for the sheer joy of flight.

But, after flying with Bill, Dave and Royson, the extra ponies are the thing to have. Just for climbout. Then, pull it back and lope along.
