Just looked at all the pictures along with John's one here in the thread. You're right! Someone did spend some time or big $ on this. Did you guys see the interior? sick

Ok...so i'm checking out this bee airplane interior to see why the disparaging remarks. I'm looking at the panel pics thinking "Geeze LuluBelle is gonna be embarrassed if they think this is bad"

Then I saw that upholstry sick

Curious..what year do you figure THAT was done? And how many drugs were they taking at the time?

I have visions of some poor down on his luck soul waking up in an alley with an empty wine bottle in his hand. His head hurts, his vision's blurred, and he's not yet quite sure where he is or how he got there. He's go this buzzing thing going on in his head, not quite sure what it is, but it's getting louder.

He looks up ..... and ..... grin

I don't think the bumblebee 172 should be ridiculed, It's more an oddity that shows someone had their own unique ideas, and why not? I personally find it refreshing and entertaining, and would love to see this airplane in person. I've long thought that it would be fun to have a gallery of some of the more unusual 150-152 paint schemes on the club site. So far, I haven't seen any as unusual as this though. Did any of you see my post about the airplane with shark mouths on the wheel pants in Everything Else? (Aggressive Wheelpants)

I do actually.... You can see a mock up as well as progress pictures at:

There are many to thank including Royson for kicking around ideas with me. I was still tweaking things with the paint shop and made changes even on the day he shot the first coat of red. But it's decided now and I'm sure I'll love it when she's done.

she's no bumblebee plane...but she'll sure stand out at X39 when I get her there.

Next time I'm in Seward I'll take a picture of a Citabria that is painted to look like a Sockeye salmon, in it's red/green spawning colors .... strange but very entertaining.
