This might seem silly given the US has 10 times the population of the US - consider advertizing your airplanes in Canada. For example with COPA (Canadian Owners and Pilots)
Here's a typical ad: 1976 CESSNA 150M, 6385 TT, 148 SMOH, lightweight starter. New windshield, alternator, Icom ICA 200 & Intervox intercom in 2006. Mode C xpdr. $28,500US
The Canadian dollar is at something like a 40 year high...a very large percentage in just a couple of years. Because airplanes are a North American market...the planes in Canada have taken a huge hit...and I don't think the current owners know that...or want to acknowledge it.
Importing the plane shouldn't be a deal breaker...although it can be a son of a $#@&* as I'm finding out.
We will look into that. My initial reaction is two-fold: First, I see Canadian planes advertized on Barnstormers, so perhaps Canadian buyers are lurking on that site: Second, while Vince is the money guy, I am the paperwork guy, and there is a lot going on in my life right now. I am not sure I want to add the joys of dealing with two government bureaucracies.
