This won't work for all the reasons that Ed Pataky has stated. A boycott works if we buy less or none of the product, not simply shift the status quo one day. This "gas boycott" e-mail has been circulating the Internet since, well, last century. You can read more about it here:

As is usually the case, if an un-solicited e-mail tells you to do something and "tell all your friends!", then your best course of action is to forward it... to the "Recycle Bin".
