If you get ramp checked and you don't have the POH, they write you a citation (?), ground your plane, require you to show up at the FSDO with the POH. You hurry up and get one in that case. In the mean time, take your time looking for one.

That's OK if you get ramp checked at your home field. If you're away from home, it's an inconvenience.
