Terry, the minute someone buys the plane and hands the cash over! Thanks for your input, I went out and bought the rope this morning. (I *was* wondering about the 'other end' but hadn't gotten around to posting about it yet).
Practiced making the knots, printed out the pics describing same and am ready to head for the airport to pick my special spot out on the ramp.

BTW, if someone is particularly taken with Ron Stewart's March Plane of the Month, I encourage you to check out mine in the classifieds. Not nearly as good paint, but you will get lots of compliments on the colors and the scheme.
