I sold N150WW with a load of mixed feelings. On one hand I parting with the airplane that has provided me with the most FUN that I have ever had with any airplane. I invested a lot of myself as well as money into the conversion and rejuvenation of the little airplane. On the other hand I had made the decision to operate a larger and more COMFORTABLE plane and I was glad for the selling process to come to an end.

I had numerous conversations and negotiations in which price was the prime consideration. I was astounded when an almost local buyer, he lives only 45 miles from Midland, recognized the SportHawk as a good value. He did not insist on a pre-purchase inspection. He did not haggle on price, even though he did have to make the obligatory request for a lower price. In the end he simply paid full price for the airplane and accepted a bill of sale, registration application and a hand shake.

And no he is not a club member and most likely never will be. He doesn?t even own a computer. I know, I know there is more to the Club than the web site but those Club Members who do not take advantage of the Forum and other information available on like are missing a great deal.

I would rather not post a lot of details on the forum about some of the ?interesting? experiences that I have encountered over the past few months. Should some of the participants in those transactions read my thoughts there could be some hurt feelings, and that would accomplish nothing positive. This adventure will become a chapter in my flying chronicles and perhaps I will make that available to some of you.

I find it very, very interesting that there is so much suspicion and even a bit of paranoia regarding means of payment, not just on the part of folks like us but also the government. We have reached a sorry state of affairs when cash money is suspicious.
