Sorry for the confussion! I work as a Civilian Federal Employee of the Navy at NAS Jax (NIP), but do not fly to work. Yet! I'm coming up on retirement, and I'm exploring several options. I'm leaning towards getting my CFI and other tickets to accept a position at St. Augustine (SGJ), in which case I would probably fly to work most of the time. There are also opportunities for me as a Technician or CFI at half a dozen fields within 30 minutes flight from my home. On bad days the farthest will still be only a 45 minute drive. Yet another advantage of living with your plane on an airpark! Life is good!
