Full IFR GPS 1968 Cessna 150H For Sale

Summary:

In 2015, the previous owner invested over $80,000 into the plane for his son to have a trainer for an aviation career. In 2015, the aircraft was completely disassembled, repainted, LED lighting installed, rewired, reassembled with all new AN hardware, all new firewall forward and a professional shop engine overhaul with Millenium Cylinders.

The interior was completely redone with all new interior panels, all new glass, new leather seats, new carpet, Rosen Visors, and circuit breakers with new wiring. The panel was completely redone with all of the instruments overhauled, new engine controls, addition of a digital engine analyzer, and a full Garmin suite with an audio panel, GNS430, second radio, CDI, etc. The plane was subsequently updated with a Garmin GTX335 ADSB transponder.

I purchased the plane in 2018 with 230 hours on the engine. So, I've put just shy of 600 tach hours on the plane.

Recently, I had a new Sensenich 69CK prop installed. For those that don’t know this is the prop that was designed specifically for the 150 with improved performance - and its noticeable - ask some of the others in the club. The aircraft also underwent a thorough multi-day re-rigging. This included new yoke universals, all new McFarlane aileron rod ends, and full rerig of the aileron control system and rudder with multiple test flights and adjustments for perfection. Flies straight hands off / feet off with level yokes.

I used this plane for all of my training and checkrides starting with my instrument rating, commercial, CFI, and CFII. The plane has been hangared with regular wax and polish. It has been flown regularly and no maintenance has been deferred. In April, new Goodyear Flight Special II tires were installed along with a new Concorde battery. For what it's worth, the old tires lasted about 790 tach hours so the plane enjoyed easy and soft landings.

Why am I selling? My mission changed where I need to make regular long distance flights. I wasn't really expecting this. I will still be at the fly-ins... One more thing, the plane has a touch of luck as it helped me win some fly-in contests over the years.
