It delivered well on takeoff and climb performance with little or no cruise penalty - basically everything the three blade purveyors promise. The weight was more of a frustration than expected - it is significantly heavier than our old two blade and the cg shift required us to carry up to 75 lbs balast to make cg if we fill up the tanks with just two people. I would do it again if I had a later model 182 with the higher max gross, but it’s not my jam with an m model. I would definitely go with a three blade mt if they weren’t so costly.

We are going back to a McCauley 2 blade.
