I have the STC in front of me and there is no mention of that either way. The only thing you need to do to the nose is to add a bracket plate on each side of the assembly to hold a spring loaded strut on the back side of the nose ski, and a safety cable for the front side.
I would think there would be no reason it shouldn't work. A good quality picture of your assembly would be helpful. If nothing else you could custom make new side plates (easy) to fit the hole spacing your fork may have.
