I know its probably illegal as heck but I bought an indoor/outdoor digital thermometer from Walmart for $10 and vecroed it to the door post. I just couldn't read the tiny numbers on the old one. I also replaced the standard vents with pvc and a gasper valve from Sporty's (also non-approved). Works much better than the originals
