The decision to hang up my wings was somewhat easy because my wife made it for me grin. Recently, I have to go on insulin. My wife doesn't want me to fly if I go on insulin because she doesn't want me to have an insulin blackout and crash.

I started flying in 1995 and have been doing it continuously. I've had fun and accomplished some things: flew to 22 states, flew my plane to NYC, the Grand Canyon, SE States, almost to the Canadian/Minnesota border, flew to Clinton 11 times, competed in the flying contests a few times, even won the Nerf Drop one year with Kirk as my bombardier, flew over a hundred kids for the Wright Flight program, didn't damage my plane in 22 years and over 1200 hours grin. So, I won't miss out too much by stopping flying. Although I certainly will look up longingly at the sky when a plane flies by on a nice day.

One thing I will still have are the friends that I've made through this Club.
