Actually, there was a childs seat for the straight backs, but it was made of the corrugated aluminum like flaps and ailerons, riveted to aluminum angle. Its in the Parts Book. I have one for a Cessna 140, nearly identical but not the same. Need to sell it, just taking up space.

The Childs seat in those early models fit againist the back of the baggage compartment and the seat back was hinged at top so it could lift up for access to the battery. Made the baggage compartment usless for anything else.
