I ran into the same problem on my previous engine, and believe it was due to the rockers having been machined several times -- it had been done each time a cylinder was replaced. New cylinders came with everything except new rockers. I was considering buying some new rockers (at >$200 each) before I decided to replace the engine. I couldn't find longer pushrods either.
