Back in '10 I was having my plane painted. Granular corrosion was found on the vertical stabilizer, and I needed a new one, or repair the old one.

I wound up purchasing an entire assembly, over the phone, in good condition, for $300 from Faeth salvage of Sacramento. They shipped it to me in a few days.

Apparently the entire assembly is fairly easy to remove and replace, for mechanics, that is.
