This is a cool idea, but I'm pretty sure you can't dim an LED panel by varying the voltage like is done with the traditional bulb. Anyway my primary concern is that the 40+ year old contraption is going to flicker out on me when I need it the most. It's the rheostat that is going bad. Anyone know where I can find a new rheostat and how expensive is expensive?
