I also have the seldom seen or even known to exist, copy of the Cessna 150-152 Club publication from 1995,
CESSNA 150-152 HINTS 'N' TIPS by Skip Carden. It is full of interesting suggestions and fixes for common problems.
As an example: to lift a wheel on a flat spring landing gear, just put a large hose clamp around the gear with the nut side on the bottom,under the gear. Tighten and use a car scissors jack to lift up on the nut. The taper of the spring gear keeps the clamp from sliding.
I tried it and it works great.
