My mechanic has a Globe Swift that has been refitted with Cessna 150 seats. He sent them off to be recovered at a local shop and they messed up the seat frames by welding and modifying them incorrectly. (Why in the heck did they welded them, I guess I'll never figure out.) Anyways, I put my mechanic in touch with Shelby from TN Wings (great guy!).
My question is: Are the seat frames different for different models of C150's? It seems every 150 seat my mechanic can get ahold of, the track is too wide. I know that the older 150's had narrower bodies, but did they have narrower seat tracks as well? He's thinking so and is now on the lookout for 1959-ish seats that might fit the bill.
I appreciate any insight on the matter.
