Are these able to use the wifi phone app for a monitor and on/off or is that only the newer ones?
Also, is that price for both or each?

These can do wifi but you need the
GoPro wifi kit [
gopro.com]. I guess I could sell 1 for $90 without the lens adapter and extra battery or the $130 with the lens adapter and extra battery.
Just noticed you mentioned the monitor function...these can't do wifi for the viewfinder. Only the Hero2 or Hero3 can do that. The kit will let you remote control them though. There is also a viewfinder kit for this one but you can't use wifi with your iPad or similar.
