Regina, it is kind of sad to know there is one less in the fleet, but the parts are going to good homes. I most likely will not have a moment of silence before I take the remains to the scrap yard, but it will still feel a little weird.

You say you are new to flying, there is a lesson about scud running from this. The pilot said the engine quit, so he landed on the road. The wing clipped the Speed 35 sign, and it ended like this. The engine ran fine on the ground for the NTSB. Carb ice maybe? Very few options when you have trouble and are this low.
