You are correct. A friend of mine was looking to buy that plane and flew out to look at it in person. He said the paint looked like it was done with spray cans - lots of orange peel, no depth or shine. The carpeting looks like it came from Home Depot, just cut to fit and dropped in place (edges not hemmed). And lots of interior pieces covered with stretch fabric glued in place with lots of wrinkles. He was disgusted at the time/money he wasted to look at the plane.

In my opinion, from looking at the close-up photos he took, I get the impression that all the cosmetics were applied inexpertly and/or hurriedly. It makes me wonder about the mechanical maintenance.
