Hmmmm...
The "bargain" 150 airframe he purchased won't seem like much of a "bargain" when he has to buy a complete FWF engine outright w/o and "core" to exchange, or available for rebuild.
The easiest would be to find a complete engine from a salvaged 150.... hopefully where the airframe was damaged but the engine was not ( not crashed) like wind damaged, or flood damaged.....
But still you will have an engine with "X" hours on it, may be even high time that you would have to do the whole overhaul and new accessories game....
AND- the salvage yards know exactly what a complete FWF set-up is worth. Will the logs be available too? Option "B" is buying the 0-200 off a guy who is doing the 150HP conversion, but again, he will know what a FWF engine is worth and will want max value to fund his very expensive conversion.
