Airplane is not airworthy until a prop shop repaints it and signs off on it.

There are very specific requirements for painting a prop including surface prep, primer etc.


I had Birdie's prop polished many years ago by a reputable prop shop. It's still polished and in good condition. Never came up as an issue in all the different places we flew it.

This may be one of those technicalities that even the FAA doesn't generally waste time on.

And yes, Brad's airplane is top of the line without a doubt.
