My mechanic says that your cowling won't fit on a 150 G. He says that your cowling attaches to the fuselage with screws, whereas mine uses 1/4 turn fasteners. It would be a big job to mount your cowling on a 1967 or newer aircraft.

I guess the easiest way to tell which cowl assembly you have is to look at the oil access door. It is attached to the lower cowl in the older design and to the upper cowl in the later models.

Too bad, your cowling looks like it's in great condition.
