Is there were some way to make a parking map before the event and post it online? I know that the FBO can change it at the last moment. Perhaps a map for the early arrivals, if not for the whole group.
No there wasn't any way to pre plan the parking at this year's event. The runway 14/32 was supposed to be open, but they ran into delay, so that killed a LOT of the normal Cessna 150 parking. Then the rain and soggy field caused more problems (but not as bad as Oshkosh). So this year we had surprises and more surprises in the parking area.
Some of us complained about nobody being there Wednesday to park us, but I would not have wanted to miss that dinner you guys had, if I were there.
The late Wednesday arrivals surprised us too. If we knew you were coming, someone would have been there.
Here's a rule of thumb at the Cessna 150-152 Fly-In. If you arrive early/late, and no one is there, park on the ramp in front of the FBO. We'll move you later.
If you arrive at night, always park in front of the FBO. We cannot move you into the grass at night.
I was caused to move my tent once, and almost twice.
Sorry. That was a response to one of the many surprises we were dealing with.
