We normally get some adverse Wx, some years, like 2006 worst than others. I pack everything in garbage bags within the packs. That way I can leave items out under the rain fly. In 2006 most tents went down. Mine did not put the aluminum poles did take a beating. The Wx will be hot or cool so pack accordingly. Several years I had to go to Walmart for sweat pants/shirts! Like I said in the other post, ship most heavy items in advance in an ice chest. It's worth the extra cost, to me. I always pack sleeping bags and some flat sheets so I can vary my night covers depending on the Wx. Bring a battery powered fan, just in case and a good flashlight keeps one from tripping over tiedowns in the middle of the night. Bring some pharacute cord (or other line) for a clothes line. There is a good laundry in town, Suds and Duds, so one can wash clothes while drinking beer, if required. Their hamburgers are good too! One final word: watch out for the "corn people"! They do get routy some nights!
