You are missing the point, Mark. Take this $20,000 single seater. What would it cost to make it a two seater? Twice the cost would be generous, I believe. $40,000. What this represents is that new airplanes do not need to cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. Airplanes can be produced for much much less.

Ain't gonna happen. The only way I am going to stay flying a real airplane (not a kite with a lawnmower engine) will be to fix up my C-150. Maybe after I have $60K or $75K into it, it will be comparable to something new. Still half the price.
