I have come across a repair shop that has 11 brand new lower nose caps for the Cessna 150. The part number is 0452002-45 as listed in the Cessna parts catalog 1959-1969. It is figure 28, index number 19. This is the center part of the lower cowl that the right hand and left hand sides are riveted to. It is applicable to cessna 150 serial numbers 17801 to 15064532 and possibly higher numbers that are not in the 1959-1969 parts catalog. The owner said he is sure Cessna is selling them at $1200 each and Wentworth is selling the same for around $600. I believe he would sell them for a lot less. The owner, Ken Harris, of
Harris Aviation in Greeley is the one who put our "Cessna Five" on the internet on his home page 5 years ago. Some of his work on my plane include the installation of the Metco-Co-Aire wingtips, the installation of the JPI FS-450 Fuel Scan, and numerous miscellaneous repairs. You would not be dealing with a fly-by-night operator in this case. The
telephone number of Harris Aviation in Greeley, CO is 970 356-6401.
