[ With what you are saying, Fred, that inch and a half more prop isn't really going to give me much, if any, performance gain? In other words, I should just be content with what I already have.
Though, still searching for that set of patroller wings!

Well, I am not an aircraft engineer

but for what I understand about prop diameter, the overall diameter choosen for a specific aircraft must allow the air to flow easily around the cabin, thus making the 67" clipped prop too small. I think the 69" is already thin and too small. My Luscombe turn a 71" McCauley prop, and I think the O-200 would perform better with a 71X44 instead of a 69x48 prop, but it is not approved. At 72.5" long the Sensenich can propell the airplane trough a larger prop wash diameter than a brand new 69" McCauley, making it efficient for the same airframe. I don't know if what I am saying make sense

it is only based on my

"knowledge"

I think that if your prop is still airworthy, I would not replace it.
A good and inexpensive performance improvement wich is on my list is a K&N filter (2-4% HP gain) for about 200$, anyone ever tried it ?
There was a used set of patroller door on Ebay last week from wenthworth aircraft and the auction closed at around 350$ for the pair.
