Well, yesterday was probably my last flight in N34908 (1974 Cessna 177B Cardinal) so I went out with a bang. I helped to organize an open house and young eagles event at our airport (HRI) and was able to introduce 15 kids (5 flights at 3 each) to aviation for the first time before the worst thunderstorms I have ever seen here invaded our party. 3/4 inch hail, gusts to 60 kts and heavy rains and flash flooding in the area...YIKES.
Anyway, we got all the planes back on the ground safely and got 100 kids flown before having to shut down about 1:30 p.m.
The deposit has arrived, and the plane will fly to California for pre-buy and closing probably this coming week. Unless that get's delayed, she will stay in the hangar.
What a day <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />
